Nathan Dwyer, PE, CFI

Nathan Dwyer is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) and Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) who has been investigating fires and explosions since 2003. He is also the owner of Fire Findings. He graduated from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering. In addition to investigating, he is actively involved in instructing at Fire Findings' in-house seminars, for the Michigan State Police, and for other IAAI and forensic-related organizations. Mr. Dwyer has testified as an origin and cause and forensic engineering consultant in depositions and trials.

Jeff Tipton, CFI, CFEI, CVFI

Jeff Tipton is a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI), Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI), and a Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator (CVFI). He is also a ASE Automotive Technician, Certified Mechanic and licensed Residential Builder. A retired firefighter from Benton Harbor, Mr. Tipton has been investigating the origin and cause of fires while on the fire department since 2001, and as a private investigator since 2009. Mr. Tipton has testified as an origin and cause expert in depositions and at trial.

Aaron Fillipo

Aaron Fillipo is a former Fire Captain with the City of St. Joseph Fire Department and a certified Fire Investigation Technician (FIT) through the IAAI. He assists our investigators with processing large fire scenes and logging and handling evidence. Aaron is an often unseen yet indispensable cornerstone of Fire Findings' in-house seminars, assisting with setup/tear down and demonstrations.

Charlotte Burch

Many offices have someone who is the glue that holds everything together and for us, that's Charlotte Burch. When she's not nose-deep in bookkeeping, she's assisting clients, colleagues or our investigators with a multitude of tasks.

Janet Owsianka

When you call our office, there's a good chance Janet will be the one to pick up the phone. She takes new assignments, coordinates calendars, processes seminar registrations and is overall a helpful resource for our clients and investigators alike.
